The house on the rocky coastline of Batz-sur-Mer

Surroundings

Ocean, salt and rocks

Batz-sur-Mer lies at the heart of the Guérande peninsula: everything that makes this coast so charming is just minutes away.

The village of Batz

Batz-sur-Mer is a village on the Guérande peninsula, nestled between Le Pouliguen and Le Croisic, close to La Baule and Guérande. A small village full of character, it is the cradle of families of salt-makers (paludiers) who have lived from salt for generations.

Around its bell tower, the local shops are a quarter of an hour away on foot. They let you taste regional dishes and discover local specialities.

Natural areas

Discover the Côte Sauvage from the GR34, the path that runs all the way round Brittany and takes you to Le Croisic or Le Pouliguen, along granite rocks, countless coves and heathland: spectacular walks through magical scenery, especially at sunset.
